AI at SharkNinja

At SharkNinja, we’re building an AI-native culture. We’re not waiting for the future; we’re creating it. Our people are expected to experiment boldly, adopt new tools, and continuously raise what’s possible to create meaningful impact for our consumers. If you believe the best way to do your job hasn’t been invented yet, you’ll fit right in.

Please note this role will be onsite 5 days in our Needham, MA HQ location.

We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader to join our team as Manager, Product Integrity Engineering for the Home Environment team, owning design and engineering validation across the portfolio. In this role, you will lead the function embedded within the New Product Development process — ensuring quality is designed in, not inspected out, and building the systems and team that make that possible at scale.

You will own the validation strategy and partner at a leadership level with Engineering, ID, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain — directing DFMEA, DVP\&R, design reviews, and process controls to ensure products meet or exceed SharkNinja's 5-star quality standard before a single unit reaches a consumer. This role offers direct influence over product outcomes at the most critical stage of development, along with ownership of team development and cross-functional process governance.

Responsibilities

Design Validation \& Engineering Quality Leadership

Own and lead design reviews, DFMEA, DVP\&R, and safety review processes throughout the NPD lifecycle, proactively identifying and mitigating quality risks before tooling and production release

Define and govern design verification and validation (DVP\&R) strategy in alignment with product requirements and regulatory standards, setting standards used across programs

Direct critical analysis of engineering changes (ECNs), ensuring rigorous assessment of quality impact and preventing regression or degradation of product performance

Approve manufacturing and test documentation, holding the team and cross-functional partners accountable to customer quality requirements ahead of production launch

Lead design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews, ensuring early-stage designs account for process capability and production quality controls

Cross-Functional Leadership \& Process Governance

Serve as the senior quality voice in cross-functional NPD teams, representing quality requirements and consumer expectations in design and engineering decision-making at the leadership level

Lead input tracker meetings and pre-production risk reviews, driving prioritization and accountability for corrective actions across teams

Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leadership to establish and govern process controls and quality gates ahead of mass production

Own supplier quality escalations, including 8D responses and resolution meetings, ensuring corrective actions and validation evidence meet standard ahead of production milestones

Own CAPA governance tied to design or process gaps identified during pre-production builds and pilot runs, ensuring timely closure and systemic fixes

Team Leadership, Data \& Continuous Improvement

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, building capability in DFMEA, DVP\&R, and validation methodologies

Analyze pre-production build data, test failures, and early field learnings to identify design or process risks before market launch, and direct the team's response

Define quality metrics and acceptance criteria for validation activities across programs, tracking performance against targets and reporting on trends

Drive continuous improvement of pre-production quality processes at a systemic level, identifying organizational gaps and implementing durable, scalable solutions

Present validation status, quality risk summaries, and corrective action progress to senior management and executive leadership regularly, and represent the function in strategic planning

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product Development, Human Factors Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)

5\+ years of engineering experience with substantial ownership of design verification and validation activities, including experience in consumer goods

1-2\+ years of experience managing or leading engineers or cross-functional project teams

Deep, demonstrated expertise in DFMEA, DVP\&R, design reviews, and engineering change management, including setting standards and processes for others to follow

Proven track record leading product development lifecycles, document and design change control, and verification and validation methodologies at scale

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills, with the judgment to prioritize across competing risks

Strong executive communication skills — able to influence and present clearly to senior leadership, driving alignment across functions

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SharePoint knowledge a plus

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and lead teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Collaborative leader, comfortable driving outcomes independently and through others in a cross-functional matrix

Preferred

Experience at a consumer goods company with high-volume, rapid NPD cycles, including prior people-management experience

Familiarity with supplier quality processes including PPAP and incoming quality controls

Exposure to human factors engineering or usability validation methods

Ability to travel as required to manufacturing sites or supplier facilities
