About Magna
Magna is a sports lifestyle company inspiring athletes and enthusiasts to Play The Long Game. Our first product is a magnesium-powered hydration formula that unlocks greater focus, energy, and recovery. Founded by
Michael Preysman
(Everlane) and backed by
Forerunner
and
Sugar Capital
, we have signed world-class athletes across surfing, running, cycling, and fighting as founding partners.
Magna is a part of The Ever Company, a longevity-focused consumer health and wellness holding company.
The Role
Reporting to the COO/Partner, you will own Magna's end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution — from co-manufacturing through omnichannel fulfillment — and be directly accountable for scaling operations to $150M\+ in annual revenue with a lean, high-leverage team structure. You will start with one overseas operational resource and build deliberately from there, staying as lean as possible while maintaining operational excellence.
This is a role for a builder and strategist in equal measure. You'll set the operational architecture, own the critical relationships, and lead continuous margin improvement and efficiency initiatives — while maintaining the hands-on presence required to ensure flawless execution at every node of the supply chain. You will be a key voice in commercial and financial decisions where operations intersects with growth.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy \& Manufacturing
- Own end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution, from co-manufacturer to end customer, architected to scale efficiently to $150M\+
- Manage co-manufacturer relationships, production schedules, and capacity planning — with an eye toward cost structure optimization at scale
- Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance (FDA, cGMP, supplement-specific requirements)
•Lead RFQ/RFP processes for manufacturing and logistics partners; continuously benchmark and renegotiate as volume grows
- Identify and execute 3–5 high-impact operational improvements per year that meaningfully improve margin or customer experience
Inventory \& Demand Planning
- Own forecasting across DTC, Amazon, specialty retail, and mass retail channels, with support from your overseas resource
- Manage inventory levels to balance working capital efficiency with service levels across a growing omnichannel footprint
- Build and refine supply forecasting models; coordinate with the commercial team on promotional and launch planning
- Proactively manage stockouts and communicate cross-functionally with digital and commercial teams
Logistics \& Fulfillment
- Own 3PL and LSP relationships for both DTC and B2B channels; evaluate, onboard, and transition partners as needed with zero service disruption
- Ensure compliance with retailer requirements (routing guides, EDI, ASNs, chargebacks) across specialty and mass retail
- Own inbound/outbound logistics, transportation management, and order fulfillment
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistics challenges including returns, damages, and expedited shipments
Systems, Process \& Analytics
- Implement and continuously optimize operational systems (PO management, inventory management, WMS)
- Design and maintain dashboards and KPIs that give leadership real-time visibility into supply chain health and margin performance
- Drive process improvement using Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies
- Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable across your vendor base
- Build repeatable, scalable processes that can absorb significant volume growth without proportional headcount growth
Team \& Resource Leadership
- Directly manage and develop one overseas operational resource initially; hire deliberately and only when headcount is clearly justified by scale
- Act as a force multiplier — knowing when to delegate, when to do, and when to build systems that eliminate work entirely
- Partner closely with the COO/Partner on operational strategy, capital allocation, and organizational design as Magna scales
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- All core SKUs are in-stock and service levels are consistently met across channels
- A clear operational roadmap exists to scale to $150M with defined team, systems, and infrastructure milestones
- Operational dashboards give leadership real-time visibility into supply chain health and cost performance
- The COO/Partner is spending 70% less time on operational firefighting
- At least 3–5 margin improvement or efficiency initiatives have been identified and implemented
- Any 3PL transitions or onboarding have been executed with no service interruption
What We're Looking For
Required
- 12\+ years of experience including 4–5\+ years at a fast-growing consumer brand in health, supplements, food/beverage, or CPG
- Demonstrated ability to scale operations at a lean startup — you've built systems that grow revenue without proportional headcount
- Omnichannel expertise across DTC, Amazon, specialty retail, and mass retail fulfillment
- End-to-end supply chain ownership: co-manufacturing, 3PLs, LSPs, demand planning, inventory management
- Strong analytical skills; you build dashboards, model scenarios, and use data to drive structural decisions — not just monitor them
- Track record of margin improvement through process, procurement, or systems optimization
- Comfortable managing lean teams and offshore or fractional resources effectively
- Self-directed and resourceful; you build from scratch and don't wait to be told what needs fixing
Bonus
- Consulting, investment banking, or private equity background
- Experience taking a brand from sub-$20M to $100M\+
Culture Fit
You're energized by building, not maintaining. You roll up your sleeves and do the work — and you also design systems so the work gets easier over time. You communicate with clarity and urgency. You're comfortable with ambiguity and say "I don't know, but I'll figure it out." You have an extreme ownership mentality and take full accountability for outcomes, wins and losses.
