Senior Data Architect

Senior Data Architect \| 170-220k \| Hybrid \| NY \| Full-time

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance data solutions within a complex financial environment. This role will play a key part in shaping our data platform, driving innovation, and enabling real-time, data-driven decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based data platforms supporting portfolio, security master, transactions, benchmarks, and performance data
• Leverage advanced Snowflake capabilities such as Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and Snowpark to support both real-time and batch processing
• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines using technologies such as Kafka and Azure Event Hub
• Implement data security best practices, including RBAC, encryption, and data masking
• Ensure strong data lineage, observability, and auditability to meet regulatory and compliance requirements
• Act as a trusted advisor on architecture decisions and long-term data strategy
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, design artefacts, and roadmaps
• Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational goals

Requirements

• 10\+ years of experience in data architecture
• Strong expertise in financial data domains IBOR/ABOR
• Extensive Snowflake Experience
• API development (Flask or FastAPI)
• Experience with investment platforms such as Aladdin Data Cloud or Bloomberg DL\+
• Exposure to data application frameworks (e.g., Streamlit, Dash)
• Understanding of FinOps principles for cost optimization
