Industry: Electrical / Industrial Manufacturing

We’re partnering with a long-standing, mid-sized manufacturer known for delivering high-quality electrical products used in critical infrastructure and industrial applications. With a strong track record of stability, growth, and employee retention, this organization offers a collaborative environment where engineers are given real responsibility and visibility early in their careers.

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to be hands-on with design work while gaining exposure to manufacturing, product development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Position Overview

This role focuses on supporting both new and existing products through SolidWorks-based design, engineering analysis, and close interaction with manufacturing. You’ll play a key role in bringing concepts to life while ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with performance requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and revise 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Produce detailed 2D drawings, including GD\&T and appropriate tolerancing for manufacturing
  • Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Assist with prototype builds, testing efforts, and design validation activities
  • Perform fundamental engineering calculations related to stress, loads, thermal factors, and material selection
  • Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve design-related challenges on the floor
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain up-to-date technical documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and improve manufacturability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-ops
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for modeling and drawing creation
  • Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles (statics, materials, heat transfer fundamentals)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methods such as machining, fabrication, or assembly processes
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

What You Can Expect

  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • A stable, financially sound company with a strong industry reputation
  • Leadership team with long tenure and a track record of mentorship
  • High level of exposure across engineering and operations teams
  • Opportunity to take ownership of projects and grow your technical skill set quickly

If you're looking to start your engineering career in a role that blends design, manufacturing, and real-world problem-solving, this is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation.
