Role Description

The Contracts Manager is a full-time role based in Battlesbridge, responsible for overseeing asbestos removal and land remediation contracts from tender through to completion. Day-to-day tasks include managing project delivery, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, monitoring progress against program and budget, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures. The role involves preparing and reviewing contract documentation, negotiating terms with clients and suppliers, and maintaining accurate records, reports, and risk assessments. The Contracts Manager will work closely with health and safety personnel, contribute to method statements and plans of work, and act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and timely updates. The position also requires supporting continuous improvement in operational processes and contributing to business development through strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in Asbestos Contract Management, and procurement of works.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including asbestos legislation and industry best practices.
  • Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities for working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Competence with standard office and project management software (e.g., MS Office)
  • Knowledge of Assure360 advantageous
  • Relevant professional certifications and training to the role, plus LAR have a robust training policy for CPD.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to attend sites and client meetings as required.
