Job Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and administering human resources programs, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals and foster a positive employee experience. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership and employees, managing key HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, compensation, benefits, training, and employee engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day human resources operations and employee support activities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and new hire orientation.
  • Administer employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance concerns.
  • Support and manage performance management processes, employee development plans, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and partner with vendors to address employee questions and concerns.
  • Analyze compensation and workforce data to support business decisions and employee retention strategies.
  • Facilitate employee engagement, recognition, and wellness programs.
  • Assist with training and development initiatives to enhance employee and leadership skills.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and workforce planning efforts.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5\+ years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Prior experience in employee relations, recruiting, and HR compliance required.
  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems (HRIS).

Preferred Certifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
