Job Description
The R\&D Specialist supports product development, testing, and commercialization efforts. This role works closely with production and quality teams to ensure products meet standards for quality, safety, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test new product formulations
- Improve existing products for quality, cost, and efficiency
- Conduct plant trials, validations, and scale-up activities
- Support troubleshooting of production and quality issues
- Maintain product documentation including formulas and SOPs
- Conduct shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations
- Partner with procurement on ingredient sourcing
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related (preferred)
- 2–5 years of R\&D experience (food preferred, but flexible)
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Experience with formulation and scale-up processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
