Job Description
The Staff Speech Pathologist provides comprehensive evaluations and treatments for patients with communication and/or swallowing disorders across all ages.
- Identify, assess, and treat speech, language, and dysphagia disorders.
- Manage departmental programs and supervise related services.
- Counsel patients, families, and caregivers regarding disabilities and management strategies.
- Perform screenings, diagnoses, and rehabilitative interventions, including augmentative communication systems.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in discharge planning.
- Conduct staff training and in-service education as needed.
Qualifications:
Master’s or doctoral degree, ASHA Certification, applicable state license, and experience or supervised clinical fellowship.
Work Details:
Full-time, in-person position with benefits, offering $37-$44/hr.
Physical \& Special Demands:
Strong communication and hearing skills; desire to work with diverse populations; knowledge of medical terminology; experience with videofluoroscopic evaluations preferred.
