What You'll Do
As a Director Product Management you'll be in a senior leadership position accountable for the Bank's Product Management function across all business line with the expectation to drive enhancements, stability, and scalability in the Bank's product suite. You'll design and execute a strategic product roadmap that details all needed leadership required to realize all concepts and key potential innovations into tangible, profitable products that align with the bank’s objectives and meets profitability goals. You'll lead a team of Product Managers and Product Analysts who are responsible for managing the lifecycle of assigned banking products, from product concept and business case analysis to technical development and introduction all the way through to ongoing maintenance and improvement.
- Support executive leadership in developing and executing the Bank's strategic plan, with specific focus of leading the efforts to develop and operate profitable banking products. Measured on the Product Teams' success in meeting product development objectives, managing product health, and Product Management's responsiveness to market dynamics.
- Direct the product development with responsibility for strategic technology direction, project delivery, and resource allocation (including budget and personnel). Responsible for the Product lifecycle process and defines the standards and deliverables for business case development, business requirement gathering, product design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Ensure the department's success in managing product health and effectiveness, and the team's efforts to pro-actively address obstacles to product development, product adoption, deteriorating product performance, competitive analysis, mitigating risk from market developments, and complications in service delivery.
- Foster strong, healthy working relationships with executives and senior leaders in partner departments (including Lending, Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, IT and other internal support departments, and third-party services), and facilitates team's contribution to and compliance with technical processes and requirements, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.
- Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
What You'll Need
- 12\+ years of related experience in Product Management, Treasury Management Sales or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Expert knowledge of banking products, including treasury management, credit cards, as well as pricing dynamics. Market specific awareness.
- Expert experience with Product Management Methodology including new product launches, road mapping, business cases, product enhancements, communication and marketing plans, and robust executive management presentations and reporting development.
- Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
- Occasional travel required.
