Fullstack Engineer (Kotlin) | Bay Area | $300k + meaningful equity

We’re looking for a Fullstack Engineer to help build the core platform powering the next generation of AI-native HR software.

You’ll be joining early, which means you’ll have the opportunity to shape foundational systems, contribute to product strategy, and help define how AI agents interact with real-world business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript
• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and workflow orchestration systems using Kotlin
• Develop systems that support AI-driven execution of HR workflows and operational processes
• Collaborate closely with founders, product, and design to rapidly ship new functionality
• Contribute to architectural decisions across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI integration layers
• Participate in technical design reviews and help establish engineering best practices

Qualifications:

• Strong experience building production-grade applications with React and TypeScript
• Experience building backend services with Kotlin
• Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, and modern application architecture
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Ability to operate independently and take ownership of complex technical problems
• Strong product intuition and attention to user experience

• Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations and agent-based systems
• Experience building workflow engines, automation platforms, or internal tools
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems
• Startup or early-stage company experience
