Job Description
Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of products, and supporting accurate shipment reporting. This role coordinates closely with carriers, warehouses, suppliers, and internal teams to support daily transportation operations, including scheduling, tracking, and issue resolution. The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in system-related troubleshooting, identifying and resolving issues within the ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, warehouses, and suppliers
- Communicate proactively with internal teams and external partners when issues arise
- Manage in-transit damage and loss claims
- Track and report on service failure trends, KPIs, and carrier performance metrics
- Troubleshoot system issues related to order processing, shipping errors, or inventory discrepancies
- Support system testing, upgrades, and new process implementations
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both logistics processes and system workflows
- Assist in freight audits and invoice validation
- Monitor freight costs and identify savings opportunities
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain operations (internships accepted)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external partners
- Problem-solving skills, especially in resolving shipment delays, carrier issues, and system discrepancies
- Ability to troubleshoot system and transaction issues related to orders, inventory, and shipping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (data tracking, reporting, basic analysis)
- Highly motivated and eager to learn with a strong interest in supply chain and logistics operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ERP or transportation systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, TMS platforms)
