Job Description
Company Overview
Mattur is building a new class of modular power systems that deliver reliable, low-cost energy anywhere it’s needed. Our platform starts with PulseTech — a high-efficiency generator core used across our portable and backup hybrid-fuel systems and our compact utility wind turbines — giving customers scalable power without the constraints of traditional solutions.
Mattur systems operate where legacy equipment struggles: low-wind environments, remote sites, fast-growing operations, and markets where power availability limits growth. With faster installation, lower operating cost, and real-time optimization through our control software, we provide dependable power for construction, mission-critical backup, rural communities, and the next generation of AI and industrial load.
At Mattur, we’re reinventing distributed energy — systems that are cleaner, smarter, and resilient by design. Join us as we build the next generation of American-made power.
Position Overview
Mattur is seeking an Procurement \& Operations Manager to own procurement, materials availability, and day-to-day operational support across the R\&D team. This person will work closely with engineering leadership to align supply chain execution with the product roadmap — ensuring components, equipment, and materials are available when needed to keep development and builds on track. The role also serves as the operational backbone of Mattur’s Phoenix headquarters, supporting office management, vendor coordination, and general administrative functions that keep the team running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain \& Procurement
- Own procurement of materials, components, and equipment — managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, lead times, and inbound logistics to prevent delays.
- Source and qualify suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and specialty hardware components; lead RFQs, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain a preferred vendor list.
- Manage and maintain inventory tracking systems, ensuring accurate records of stock levels, component locations, and material movement across both facilities.
- Maintain visibility into material availability and movement, ensuring alignment with engineering build schedules and manufacturing timelines.
- Partner with engineering to track BOMs, support engineering change orders (ECOs), and forecast component needs ahead of prototype and production builds.
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks proactively, managing risk across single-source dependencies, long lead-time items, and vendor performance.
- Coordinate logistics for vendor shipments and on-site deliveries, ensuring smooth execution across both Phoenix facilities.
Engineering \& Roadmap Alignment
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering leadership to understand the product roadmap and translate upcoming build requirements into procurement plans and material availability timelines.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by coordinating component sourcing, supplier onboarding, and material readiness ahead of key development milestones.
- Serve as the operational link between engineering, manufacturing, and external suppliers — ensuring alignment on lead times, specifications, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain procurement documentation and supplier records that support engineering review and change management processes.
Office Management \& Administrative Support
- Manage day-to-day office operations across Mattur’s Phoenix HQ, including supply ordering, facility coordination, and vendor relationships for both buildings.
- Support new hire onboarding logistics — equipment setup, badge access, workstation readiness, and coordination with IT and HR.
- Handle inbound mail, packages, and shipment receiving, routing items to the appropriate teams.
- Support leadership with scheduling, travel coordination, and ad hoc administrative needs as they arise.
- Help design and implement the operational systems, tools, and processes that allow Mattur to scale — from procurement workflows and inventory infrastructure to office operations — building for repeatability and efficiency from the ground up.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in procurement, facilities or operations roles, preferably in hardware, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, and inbound logistics for physical product development.
- Familiarity with hardware development cycles — prototype through pilot and production — and the procurement demands at each stage.
- Experience working directly with engineering teams on BOMs, component sourcing, and build schedule support.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
- Comfort working in spreadsheets, ERP/MRP systems, and inventory or procurement tracking tools.
- Clear, direct communicator — able to work effectively with engineers, suppliers, and leadership without heavy supervision.
- Based in Phoenix, AZ; this is a full-time, on-site role.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and stock options.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, and life insurance plans.
- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
- A mission-driven team building next-generation American-made power.
