Job Description
The Role
As our Director of Engineering, you will lead all engineering and maintenance operations across the resort. You’ll protect the asset, ensure guest comfort, champion safety and sustainability, and lead a skilled team that keeps the resort operating at its best—every day, every season.
You’ll be both strategic and hands-on, partnering closely with hotel leadership while setting the standard for operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead all engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations for the resort/hotel
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to protect the asset and minimize downtime
- Oversee life safety systems, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance
- Manage capital projects, renovations, and vendor partnerships
- Control departmental budgets, forecasts, and expense management
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team
- Collaborate with Operations, Housekeeping, and Leadership to support the guest experience
- Ensure all work complies with brand standards, local codes, and environmental best practices
- Be visible and available—supporting the team, responding to issues, and leading by example

Qualifications
What Makes You You
- Proven experience as a Director of Engineering, Chief Engineer, or senior facilities leader—preferably in a resort or full-service hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of building systems, life-safety, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance best practices
- Experience managing capital projects, vendor contracts, and operating budgets
- A leadership style rooted in accountability, teamwork, and development
- Calm, solutions-oriented, and decisive—especially when challenges arise
- Pride in craftsmanship, safety, and creating a seamless guest experience
Flexible to work any shifts including holidays and weekends
