area is seeking an

entry- or junior-level

Chemist

to support their operations. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the paint or lacquer production process, have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. Bilingual language ability in Japanese or Spanish is a plus.

Entry-level Chemist Responsibilities:

• Schedule and complete lab requests while maintaining detailed records of activities
• Support the formulation development process for industrial coatings, including assisting with new product development and performing qualification testing
• Communicate project needs and work with other chemists as a team to complete project goals
• Assist with bringing formulas to the manufacturing floor, using strong problem-solving abilities
• Support quality control activities by preparing samples, documenting results, and reviewing data for accuracy.
• Following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times to ensure safety and data integrity. Ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards during laboratory operations
• Produce reports on work performed for internal and external clients
• Other duties as assigned

Entry-level Chemist Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 0 – 3 years of experience with paint or chemical coating formulation—entry-level candidates with internship experience are encouraged to apply!
• Good ability to see and differentiate colors, including hue, saturation, value, depth, and finish
• Bilingual ability in Spanish or Japanese preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to multitask, work independently, and communicate effectively with others
• Ability to learn and develop new skills
• This position requires working in a chemical formulation laboratory and manufacturing location, where strong chemical odors may be present. This position requires reaching, bending, lifting, standing, and stooping typical of a laboratory environment.
