  • Serve as the sole accounting lead, owning all aspects of the accounting function in a high-growth fintech environment
  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
  • Build and implement scalable accounting processes, controls, and policies to support rapid growth
  • Oversee high-volume tax compliance, including partnership filings (1065s), K-1s, and multi-entity structures
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax/regulatory requirements in a complex, evolving industry
  • Lead financial reporting and analysis, providing visibility into business performance and key metrics
  • Partner closely with leadership on cash management, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems and tools to improve efficiency and automation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to support business initiatives
  • Support audit processes and external CPA coordination, owning day-to-day accounting while leveraging external partners for specialized work
  • Bring structure and discipline to a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required
  • 5–10\+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with partnership accounting and high-volume tax filings (1065s, K-1s) strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to own and operate full-cycle accounting independently
  • Experience building or improving accounting processes, systems, and controls
  • Comfortable working in a startup or high-growth environment with evolving priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience with accounting systems and ERP implementations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with non-finance stakeholders
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate with urgency and ownership
