Job Summary – Correctional Health
The Physician Assistant provides high-quality, patient-centered care within the Harris County Jail in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. This role includes performing intake health assessments, delivering urgent and procedural care, managing chronic conditions, and providing emergency stabilization when needed.
The Physician Assistant works collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams while also maintaining the ability to function independently. This role may provide flexibility and support across the broader provider workforce and ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), PA-C
Licensure \& Certification:
- Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Texas
Work Experience:
- No prior experience required
