Job Description

Position

As part of LVMH / Moët Hennessy, The Glenmorangie Company crafts, distributes and markets two of Scotland’s most acclaimed single malt whiskies. Glenmorangie is famed as the leading Highland single malt, renowned for its smooth, complex, and accessible taste, its mastery of wood in cask maturation, and its industry leading whisky innovation. Ardbeg is the ultimate Islay whisky and the smokiest of all Scotland’s Single Malts – and is also famed for its unorthodox, envied, and untamed brand.

The Supply Chain Capacity Planner plays a pivotal role in optimising resource utilisation throughout the supply chain to effectively and efficiently meet demand. This position encompasses forecasting capacity requirements, analysing current and future demands, and formulating strategic plans to guarantee adequate production, storage, and transportation capabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust analytical skills, a profound comprehension of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable capacity strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust capacity planning models to accurately assess current and future supply chain capabilities across all critical functions.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of future demand patterns and their potential impact on supply chain capacity.
  • Foster strong collaboration with production, commercial, and operations teams to ensure capacity plans are meticulously aligned.
  • Proactively identify potential capacity constraints, operational bottlenecks, and inherent risks, subsequently developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies to guarantee uninterrupted supply and optimise operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of all capacity-related decisions, striving for an optimal balance between cost-effectiveness and the attainment of desired service levels.
  • Manage and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) directly related to capacity utilisation, lead times, and on-time delivery, recommending and implementing necessary adjustments to improve performance.
  • Continuously monitor and review existing plans, making timely and appropriate adjustments in response to unforeseen circumstances or changes in demand.
  • Reconcile variances from original plans and maintain accurate reporting of actual performance against forecast projections.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal capacity planning inquiries and short-term alerts with the MH Central Team, ensuring timely communication of any factors impacting market serviceability.
  • Collaborate closely with the MH Central Team on stock coverage strategies and the effective management of Slow \& Obsolete Stock (SLOB).
  • Lead the monthly Sales \& Operations Planning (S\&OP) meetings, facilitating critical discussions and decision-making.
