Role Description

The Carpenter role at BELFOR Property Restoration is a full-time, on-site position located in the United States. This role involves performing structural and finish carpentry tasks related to property restoration, including framing, installing drywall, doors, windows, trim, and other building components. The Carpenter will use a variety of hand tools and power tools to repair, replace, and rebuild damaged structures while adhering to safety standards and building codes. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans or work orders, collaborating with project managers and other trades, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring quality workmanship on all assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry skills, including framing and finish carpentry, with experience in residential and/or commercial construction or restoration.
• Proficiency in safely operating power tools and hand tools commonly used in carpentry work.
• Ability to read and follow construction plans, drawings, and written work orders.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction and restoration.
• High level of attention to detail, quality-focused workmanship, and effective time management.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working in varied environments and conditions.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, as project needs require.
• Previous experience in disaster restoration or property repair is preferred; relevant certifications or training are a plus.
