Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Java Engineer
to join our Electronic Trading Technology team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building low latency, high-performance trading systems for global financial markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize low-latency, high-performance Java applications for electronic trading platforms.
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available distributed systems capable of processing high volumes of market data and transactions.
- Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts, product managers, and risk teams to deliver robust trading solutions.
- Optimize application performance through JVM tuning, concurrency, memory management, and network latency reduction.
- Integrate with exchanges, brokers, and market data providers using FIX and other market protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in mission-critical trading applications.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Follow engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, and performance monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12\+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java (Java 11/17/21), multithreading, concurrency, collections, and JVM internals.
- Proven experience
building low-latency, high-throughput, distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking, and Linux.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Solace, Aeron, Chronicle Queue, or similar.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms is a plus.
Trading Domain Expertise
- 5\+ years of experience in electronic trading or capital markets.
- Strong understanding of one or more asset classes,
including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Futures, Options, or ETFs.
- Experience with OMS, EMS, market data platforms, order routing, and the FIX protocol.
- Knowledge of the trade lifecycle, exchange connectivity, market microstructure, and low-latency trading architectures.
- Experience working closely with traders, quants, and front-office stakeholders.
