Meet Dr. James M. Hirshberg, DMD

Dr. James M. Hirshberg is a highly respected General Dentist with more than 35 years of experience and a strong reputation in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He earned his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and later served as a faculty member at Tufts, teaching restorative dentistry and root canal therapy to dental students and graduate dentists.

Dr. Hirshberg has also presented continuing education programs for dentists on porcelain crowns, crown and bridge esthetics, and techniques to improve fit and natural-looking results. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Science, a past President of the Greater Boston Dental Society, and has been recognized by Boston Magazine as a Best Dentist in Boston.

Patients often refer friends and family because of the trust, quality, and artistry he brings to care. For a hygienist, this is the kind of environment where details matter, patient relationships are valued, and the practice experience feels elevated.

Outside of the office, Dr. Hirshberg lives in Boston’s North End with his wife, Diane, and their two dogs. He enjoys windsurfing, snowboarding, tennis, and surfing.
