Junior Logistics Specialist

Are you a motivated professional with a passion for supply chain and a sharp eye for detail? We are looking for a Junior Logistics Specialist to join our chemical manufacturing team. Introduction
As a Logistics Specialist in a chemical manufacturing company, your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient and compliant execution of logistics operations within external warehouses. You will play a vital role in keeping our global supply chain moving safely and effectively.
Inbound Logistics Operations
You will coordinate and monitor the receipt of materials from both external and internal sources. Your tasks include processing inbound deliveries in SAP and ensuring accurate goods receipt postings. You will also communicate actively with internal and external partners to resolve any discrepancies or delays.
Outbound Logistics Operations
You will manage order fulfillment and shipping activities to internal and external destinations for finished products. This involves overseeing transportation planning and scheduling, as well as ensuring timely dispatch and delivery confirmations through SAP and EDI channels.
Stock and Inventory Management
Maintaining accurate inventory levels is key. You will monitor and reconcile stock movements in SAP, investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory, and support regular stock counts and cycle counting activities

Systems Integration
In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related errors or failed transmissions. You will work in close collaboration with IT and service providers to ensure seamless data integration and system performance.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Logistics does not happen in a vacuum. You will work closely with various internal departments, including Planning, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, and EHS, to ensure operational excellence and safety at every step.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has a degree in Logistics or Supply Chain and 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role. You possess a basic understanding of SAP and are a proactive communicator who enjoys solving logistical puzzles. Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment is a significant advantage.
