Technical Program Manager - AI Infrastructure

Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with experience in server and rack systems design, development, and deployment at scale. This position will work with cross-functional teams in Meta’s Infrastructure organization to drive product definition, proof of concept generation, design, component selection, integration, development, validation, and end-to-end adoption of new hardware products. This position would focus on hardware system end-to-end development needed to support emerging high-powered AI/ML servers, and would require engagement with external vendors as well as a range of internal engineering and specialized teams.In this role, you will translate technical strategy into structured program plans, partner with engineering and product teams to define goals and success metrics, and ensure that programs are delivered with speed and quality. You will serve as a key connector across engineering, product, design, data science, and operations — navigating ambiguity, managing risk, and communicating clearly with both technical teams and executive stakeholders to keep programs on track and aligned to broader business objectives.This role would work with Infrastructure Hardware development, Infrastructure software, Capacity Planning, Data Center, Network Infrastructure, and infrastructure sourcing teams. Meta’s Infrastructure Engineering organization is responsible for the growth, management and 24x7 upkeep of all Meta’s products and services.

Technical Program Manager - AI Infrastructure Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end program management across complex, cross-functional technical programs — from scoping and planning through execution, launch, and post-launch review
• Translate technical strategy into structured program plans with clearly defined milestones, dependencies, and success metrics tailored to the program's goals
• Conduct thorough technical assessments across multiple concurrent programs, identify risks and interdependencies, and develop mitigation strategies with cross-functional partners
• Build and maintain detailed risk registers, develop dashboards and reports to communicate program health and risk status to cross-functional stakeholders and executive audiences
• Drive alignment across engineering, product, design, data science, and operations teams by facilitating structured decision-making and proactively resolving conflicts
• Develop and refine program management frameworks and communication strategies that can be applied across programs to improve efficiency and consistency
• Craft well-structured, audience-tailored communications — including program updates, decision memos, and executive briefings — that convey trade-offs, open questions, and relevant context
• Hold cross-functional stakeholders accountable for program commitments and recognize contributions that advance program goals
• Contribute to the TPM community by sharing best practices, onboarding new team members, and supporting recruiting and interviewing efforts
• Use AI-enabled tools and workflows to accelerate program planning, documentation, and stakeholder communication while ensuring outputs meet quality and compliance standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6\+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or systems engineering, with a track record of delivering complex technical programs from inception to launch
• Experience conducting technical assessments across multiple programs, identifying risks, and driving mitigation plans with cross-functional teams
• Experience developing structured program plans, risk registers, and stakeholder communication strategies tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and operations teams, including proactive conflict resolution and accountability for commitments
• Experience using data and quantitative methods to evaluate program risks, define success metrics, and translate insights into actionable recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate program workflows, including documentation, risk analysis, or stakeholder communication, with demonstrated ability to validate outputs and apply responsible AI practices
• Experience mentoring other TPMs or cross-functional team members and contributing to community-building initiatives such as onboarding programs or hiring processes
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Experience building or refining program management frameworks, templates, or processes that improved efficiency across multiple teams or programs
• Experience managing technical programs in a fast-paced product or infrastructure environment, with exposure to multiple technical domains such as software systems, data infrastructure, or hardware platforms
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
