Elementary Classroom Teacher- 5th Grade

The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction that supports strong academic growth and positive student outcomes. This position requires effective instructional planning, delivery, and assessment aligned to grade-level standards while addressing the diverse needs of learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, standards-based lessons using a variety of research-based instructional strategies.
• Analyze student performance data to monitor progress, identify learning gaps, and adjust instruction to improve outcomes.
• Design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the academic, social, and developmental needs of all students.
• Use formative and summative assessments to guide instructional planning and provide timely feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and high expectations.
• Integrate instructional technology and resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues, instructional staff, and families to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in professional learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, data analysis, differentiated instruction, and instructional planning.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and student-centered teaching practices.
• Ability to effectively support diverse learners and contribute to a collaborative school culture.

Applicant must be certified in the field of Elementary Education through the GaPSC.
