What you’ll be doing

As our Training Coordinator, you’ll be the engine behind our training activity—keeping everything running smoothly, accurately and efficiently.

Training Coordination \& Administration

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of training activities from booking courses to issuing joining instructions and tracking attendance
  • Coordinate training schedules aligned with operational needs, including shifts and shutdowns
  • Partner with managers and teams to ensure the right people are trained at the right time
  • Support onboarding and induction training for new starters and agency colleagues

Training Systems, Records \& Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records within our LMS and HR systems
  • Keep training matrices current, ensuring mandatory and role-based training is tracked
  • Ensure all training documentation is audit-ready at all times
  • Support internal and external audit preparation

Logistics \& Supplier Management

  • Arrange training logistics including rooms, site access, PPE, equipment and refreshments
  • Coordinate with external providers, ensuring high-quality delivery and clear expectations
  • Raise purchase orders and manage training-related spend

Reporting \& Data Insights

  • Produce regular reports on training completion, gaps, expiries and key HR metrics
  • Ensure data integrity across multiple systems
  • Provide insights to support workforce planning and compliance

Apprenticeships \& Early Careers

  • Coordinate apprenticeship programmes and maximise use of the Apprenticeship Levy
  • Act as a key contact for learners, supporting engagement and successful completion
  • Ensure compliance with funding rules and documentation requirements

Community \& Early Talent Engagement

  • Coordinate work experience placements
  • Build relationships with local schools and colleges to promote STEM careers and opportunities

What we’re looking for

Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality, accurate work.

  • Experience in training coordination, HR support, L\&D, or a similar administrative role (or the potential and drive to grow into it)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator, able to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good IT skills, including Excel and experience with HR/LMS systems
  • A proactive mindset with great attention to detail
