Job Description
Who Are We?
Syntetica is a rapidly growing startup on a mission to decarbonize the textile industry through textile-to-textile recycling — starting with nylon.
Today, most synthetic textiles are made from crude oil, and less than 1% are recycled back into new fibers. We're here to change that. At Syntetica, we’ve developed a patented depolymerization process that breaks down nylon-rich textile waste into virgin-equivalent nylon monomers — while separating materials like elastane, polyester, and cotton for further recycling.
To date, we’ve raised \>€7M from leading investors including EQT Ventures, the family offices of Peugeot and Etam, BPI France and Entrepreneur First.
We’ve already forged key partnerships with major textile players like Victoria’s Secret and ETAM — as well as leading fast fashion, sportswear and automotive brands — and have assembled a core team of 15 experts.
If you want to help bring truly circular materials to global scale — and solve one of the textile industry’s biggest sustainability challenges — come build with us.

Who You Are
You are a builder. You understand that breakthrough chemistry is only as powerful as the supply chain that supports it. You think in systems: feedstock variability, supplier incentives, logistics constraints, regulatory friction, working capital. You are excited by the challenge of transforming fragmented waste streams into a reliable industrial input.
You combine strategic negotiation skills with operational rigor. You are as comfortable closing a long-term supply agreement as you are optimizing transport routes or structuring inventory policy. You thrive in ambiguity and take ownership of complex, cross-functional problems.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute Syntetica’s feedstock sourcing strategy, building long-term partnerships with textile manufacturers, industrial players, and waste operators to ensure a reliable, scalable, nylon source that meets our feedstock specifications
- Own strategic procurement across feedstock, chemicals, utilities, and key manufacturing equipment, negotiating contracts that balance cost, quality, flexibility, and long-term resilience.
- Build and optimize our inbound and outbound logistics network, selecting and managing 3PL partners, structuring transport flows, and reducing cost per ton while maintaining operational reliability.
- Implement robust supplier qualification and performance systems, tracking quality, variability, on-time delivery, and cost — and turning data into continuous improvement.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across both feedstock and product shipment, transport, REACH, and cross-border trade, anticipating constraints before they become bottlenecks.
- Partner closely with R\&D and Engineering teams to connect feedstock specifications to process yield and economics, embedding supply chain into our technical learning loop.
- Prepare the supply chain for industrial scale, designing systems, contracts, and infrastructure that will support multi-site expansion and increasing production volumes.
Background \& Skills
- \>7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, or industrial sourcing roles in chemical manufacturing, advanced materials, automotive, waste management, or industrial environments and ideally in start-up environments.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and structuring complex supplier agreements, ideally involving industrial raw materials or waste streams.
- Experience designing logistics networks and managing third-party logistics providers.
- Strong understanding of cost structures, total cost of ownership, and working capital optimization.
- Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks related to waste, chemicals, and industrial transport (REACH, cross-border shipment regulations, etc.).
- Highly analytical and systems-oriented; comfortable building dashboards, KPIs, and scalable processes from scratch.
- High level of ownership and autonomy; comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
- Excellent communication skills in English; French strongly preferred.
At Syntetica, we are a dynamic group of individuals, united by a common mission, who believe our diversity is key to our success. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive work environment, dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination on any basis.
