R\&D Formulation Chemist

to join our team in an environment with strong commitment to internal and external customer service. This position supports the development of new products with a strong focus on core cosmetic chemistry principles, including formulation, testing, pilot, and scale-up activities. Works independently on routine formulation adjustments and assists in developing customer formulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within the R\&D team to formulate new products with an emphasis on creativity and innovation
• Oversee the organization and storage of lab samples to be placed in storage for stability and compatibility testing
• Prepares lab prototype batches as directed, including filling tubes, jars, or specified containers with product and applying appropriate identification labels
• Ensure products are developed in compliance with regulatory requirements for the intended markets
• Partners with Account Managers to coordinate product development activities and maintain up-to-date timelines
• Communicate regularly with internal and external R\&D and Regulatory teams to ensure product compliance
• Collaborate with Process Engineer to support pilot runs and scale-up of new products
• Source and evaluate new raw materials for products
• Communicate with customers to ensure products meet their regulatory and formulation requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, cosmetic science or science related field
• Minimum of 7 years of cosmetic formulation experience
• Experience with regulatory requirements, raw materials, and product specifications, procedure writing and scale-up of new products
• Proven ability to be creative and drive innovation
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize numerous development projects
• A passion for the cosmetic industry and staying up to date with new developments and trends

• Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000/annually
