ABOUT KOLBE WINDOWS \& DOORS
For 80 years, Kolbe Windows \& Doors has been dedicated to crafting high-quality, beautifully designed windows and doors that transform spaces. Our products go beyond function—each one reflects artistry, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for thoughtful design, helping customers bring their unique visions to life.
WHY KOLBE
At Kolbe, design and storytelling go hand in hand. We offer a collaborative, creative environment where ideas are shared, quality matters, and professional growth is encouraged. You’ll work alongside a passionate marketing team that values innovation, attention to detail, and the impact strong visual storytelling can have on our brand and customers.
Kolbe Windows \& Doors is seeking a Graphic Designer \& Brand Merchandise Specialist who is passionate about brand consistency, visual storytelling, and thoughtful design. As a key contributor on our collaborative marketing team, this role supports a wide range of initiatives—from marketing collateral and trade show environments to branded merchandise and photography coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design \& Brand Execution
- Design, layout, and assist in the development of marketing collateral (including brochures, sell sheets, advertising, posters, signage, presentations, and digital assets) while ensuring alignment with brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Apply a strong interior design and visual merchandising sensibility to support trade show booth concepts and customer showroom environments, working collaboratively with the marketing and displays teams to develop layouts, décor selections, color palettes, materials, and visual mood boards throughout the design process.
Photography, Visual Assets \& Content
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of photography and a keen eye for imagery that enhances storytelling, elevates brand perception, and strengthens marketing communications.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for product and project photography, including organizing photo shoots; working with external photographers; coordinating schedules, shot lists, locations, and logistics; and collaborating with internal videography resources as needed.
- Source and purchase architectural and product photography from a range of professional photographers, and plan future photo shoots to support ongoing marketing needs.
- Crop, retouch, organize, catalog, and archive photography and visual assets for efficient internal use across teams.
- Occasionally conduct off‑camera interviews with project participants, customers, or partners to support video and storytelling initiatives.
Promotional Products \& Brand Merchandise
- Act as the primary point of contact for the company’s promotional products and branded merchandise store.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new promotional items that align with brand standards, quality expectations, and marketing objectives; manage updates to online promotional product listings as needed.
- Support internal teams and customers in selecting branded merchandise by assisting with product recommendations, ordering, customization, inventory tracking, and fulfillment coordination.
Collaboration, Vendor \& Project Support
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Displays, and Leadership to support marketing requests and ensure the timely delivery of creative solutions.
- Partner with external vendors and suppliers to request quotes, manage timelines, review proofs, and coordinate the final production of marketing and promotional materials.
- Support customer‑facing and sales initiatives by providing thoughtful, brand‑appropriate creative solutions that communicate product value and elevate the customer experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS \& PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS
- Demonstrate excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and writing skills across all marketing communications, with strong attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Execute creative and production work that aligns with established brand standards, quality expectations, and visual identity guidelines.
- Strong creative, artistic, and design layout skills, with experience producing high‑quality marketing materials across print and digital formats.
- Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge) and Microsoft Office; experience with 3DVista Virtual Tour software is a plus.
- Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities, meeting deadlines, and adapting to shifting business needs.
- Work independently as a self‑starter while also collaborating effectively as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills when working with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
- Show a willingness and ability to learn, grow skills, and support evolving marketing initiatives.
- Maintain superior attention to detail, dependability, and accountability in all aspects of the role.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and workplace standards and expectations.
- Knowledge of the window and door products industry is helpful but not required.
- Ability to sit and maintain visual focus for extended periods (2–3 hours at a time) while performing detailed design and production tasks.
- Work occasional overtime as needed to support deadlines, events, or business priorities.
- Perform other marketing‑related duties as assigned in support of team and company objectives.
