Senior Solutions architect (devops and support) [33335]

We are looking for an Integration \& Software Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative engineering team supporting a mature wireless connectivity platform. This is a software engineering role first, centered around building, maintaining, and extending a multi-product ecosystem that powers carrier integrations, customer portals, billing, reporting, and provisioning.

You'll work across a Java-based service bus, LAMP-stack web applications, API integrations, billing systems, and reporting infrastructure while serving as the technical bridge between wireless carriers and customers. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, takes ownership across the full software lifecycle, and communicates technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Software Development

Design, develop, and maintain a Java-based service bus that powers carrier provisioning and third-party integrations.

Build new carrier and customer integrations while enhancing existing platform capabilities.

Develop and support customer-facing web portals and API services using PHP, Apache, and MySQL.

Maintain export tools and backend data processing workflows.

Enhance billing, subscription, and provisioning systems with a focus on accuracy and reliability.

Debug and resolve complex production issues involving billing calculations, subscription lifecycle management, and edge-case business logic.

Review and safely modify production financial logic where precision is essential.

Reporting \& Data

Write and optimize complex SQL queries against large relational databases.

Design, maintain, and improve reporting solutions using JasperReports, iReport, or similar reporting tools.

Optimize report performance, memory usage, and export processes.

Platform Operations

Work within a Linux/Unix environment to build, deploy, and troubleshoot applications.

Utilize Docker-based deployment workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Manage source code using version control systems (Perforce experience is a plus).

Carrier Operations

Support SIM lifecycle operations including activations, suspensions, deactivations, transfers, and subscription changes.

Troubleshoot carrier integration issues and API failures.

Reconcile platform records with carrier data and provisioning history.

Investigate end-to-end provisioning workflows across multiple carrier platforms.

Customer Support \& Technical Consulting

Own customer support requests from investigation through resolution.

Gather technical requirements for new integrations and platform enhancements.

Clearly communicate complex technical issues to non-technical customers.

Coordinate data migrations, exports, onboarding, and offboarding activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

3–10\+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Strong experience with:

Java

PHP (LAMP Stack)

SQL

Apache

MySQL

Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.

Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD deployment workflows.

Strong understanding of version control systems (Perforce is a plus).

Experience maintaining production software systems with complex business logic.

Ability to safely modify billing, financial, or transaction-processing systems where precision is critical.

Excellent analytical and debugging skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote, small-team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with JasperReports, iReport, or similar enterprise reporting tools.

Familiarity with wireless, cellular, IoT, or SIM provisioning platforms.

Experience integrating with carrier APIs and external systems.

Background supporting customer-facing SaaS platforms.

Experience working across multiple products and technologies in a cross-functional engineering role.
