Your next career opportunity

In this role you will lead Onemda’s communications to amplify Indigenous health research, teaching and impact. You will design engaging content, digital channels and events that connect partners, communities and colleagues nationwide.

What you will deliver:

  • Co-design and implement Onemda’s communications strategy to grow reach, profile, engagement and measurable impact.
  • Develop and manage digital channels, including websites, newsletters, reports, social media, e-flyers, and partner-facing updates.
  • Showcase fieldwork, journal outputs and staff achievements through timely stories, reports, campaigns, and media opportunities.
  • Coordinate events, yarning seminars and community consultations that align with Onemda’s strategy and deepen partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships across Onemda, MSPGH and external stakeholders to align messaging and leverage collaboration.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in communications, marketing, media, or related fields.
  • Demonstrate a record of designing, delivering and evaluating strategic communication or engagement initiatives.
  • Create clear, audience-specific content that translates complex research into compelling messages across formats.
  • Manage social media, websites and digital tools confidently, with strong analytics awareness and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate events and competing priorities, staying organised while collaborating across diverse teams and partners.
  • Value Indigenous led health and bring experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
