NYU Cryptocurrency Investment Club is assisting us—Astrix Capita, a newly established firm—in recruiting senior management talent. Astrix Capita is a private equity firm co-founded in partnership with Hillhouse Capital. While Hillhouse Capital is one of our investors, it is not involved in our day-to-day operational management. Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The CISO will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to protect the organization’s digital assets. Key tasks include evaluating and managing information security systems, overseeing cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring compliance with security standards, and spearheading efforts to strengthen application security. The role also entails preparing for and responding to business continuity challenges while collaborating with various stakeholders to mitigate risks effectively. Leadership, strategic vision, and expertise in information security are crucial for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Information Security Management and Cybersecurity practices
• Expertise in Information Security and Application Security methodologies
• Experience in managing Business Continuity strategies and plans
• Strong ability to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective cybersecurity protocols
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and guide strategic initiatives
• Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations relevant to information security
• Experience in the blockchain or Web3 industry is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus
