Medior Mechanical Engineer
.
About the Company
This international engineering organization specializes in energy security solutions. They design, engineer, build, and maintain integrated power systems for environments that must remain operational at all times - such as data centers, hospitals, airports, and other critical infrastructure.
The company also supports organizations that require reliable energy solutions in locations with limited or unavailable grid capacity.
What Will You Do?
As a
Medior Mechanical Engineer
, you play a key role in the design department and take ownership of projects from concept through implementation. This is a hands-on engineering role where you actively design, calculate, and develop solutions.
Your time will roughly be divided into:
- 70% design \& 3D modelling
- 10% calculations \& engineering analysis
- 20% collaboration, meetings, and stakeholder communication
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing mechanical systems and components using advanced 3D CAD and parametric modelling
- Creating detailed 2D technical drawings and documentation
- Performing engineering analyses such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and dynamic simulations
- Carrying out technical calculations including load, stress, thermodynamic, and fluid dynamics analyses
- Improving designs by optimizing materials, geometry, and layouts to enhance performance and reduce costs
- Managing engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle
- Collaborating with suppliers and internal departments to resolve technical challenges
- Producing clear engineering documentation for manufacturing, commissioning, and maintenance
What Do You Bring?
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering
- Around 7\+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or machine building
- Experience with machinery and preferably generator or diesel technology
- Knowledge of systems such as fuel, cooling, and ventilation
- Experience with engineering analysis tools such as FEA or dynamic simulations
- Strong technical calculation skills (stress, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics)
- Experience with engineering tools such as Inventor, Vault, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
- Strong ownership mentality combined with excellent collaboration skills
- A practical engineer who enjoys turning concepts into real-world mechanical solutions
What Do You Get in Return?
- Salary between €4,000 and €5,500 gross per month, depending on experience
- 25 vacation days
- Up to 20% remote working
- A technically challenging role in mission-critical energy projects
- Opportunity to work in a specialized and growing sector
- Clear career growth toward a Senior Mechanical Engineer position
- A dynamic project environment where your engineering expertise directly impacts critical infrastructure
If you enjoy owning projects from concept to implementation and working on complex mechanical solutions, this might be the next step in your engineering career..
