Company Description
Verex Engineering LLC is a multi-cloud solutions and engineering company with deep expertise across leading platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The team focuses on integrating applications, data, and security across multiple cloud providers to help clients grow their businesses and improve efficiency. By delivering end-to-end cloud lifecycle services—from consultation and assessment through deployment, migration, and ongoing management—Verex Engineering LLC creates tangible business advantages, not just technical fixes. The company follows industry best practices and uses advanced tools to ensure seamless integration, robust security, and regulatory compliance. This environment offers field engineers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while supporting complex, real-world cloud implementations.
Role Description
The Field Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role involves visiting client locations to install, configure, and maintain multi-cloud and related infrastructure solutions, ensuring systems perform reliably and efficiently. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing hands-on technical support, and coordinating with internal engineering teams to implement solutions that align with client requirements. The Field Engineer will document work performed, communicate status updates to stakeholders, and assist in project planning and execution for deployments, upgrades, and migrations. This position also requires building strong client relationships through clear communication, professional service delivery, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to diagnose, resolve, and prevent issues in multi-cloud and on-site environments.
- Field service experience, including on-site installations, maintenance, and customer-facing technical service.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, collaborate with technical teams, and provide clear documentation and updates.
- Project management capabilities to support planning, coordination, and execution of deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic networking, systems, and security concepts.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant technical certification or coursework in engineering, information technology, or a related discipline; a bachelor’s degree is beneficial but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the New York City Metropolitan Area as needed.
