Senior Mechanical Engineer

ARABIC SPEAKING IS A MUST

The Mechanical Engineer will ensure high-quality and sustainable design, compliance with international standards, and timely project delivery. To develop, design, and implement sustainable mechanical building services across a range of projects including commercial, residential, tall towers, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments.

Main Duties \& Responsibilities:

• Develop sustainable building services designs for diverse major projects.

• Design and evaluate ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, delivering detailed designs to the highest international standards.

• Conduct engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, conceptual and final designs, cost estimates, and calculations.

• Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, stormwater, irrigation, and gas distribution.

• Prepare mechanical engineering calculations to support system designs.

• Analyze data, design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine design feasibility.

• Evaluate design drawings and calculations for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems to meet project requirements.

• Work with international building services codes such as British Standards, ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, IMC, and others

• Prepare complete mechanical technical drawings (HVAC, water, drainage, irrigation, fire-fighting, etc.) from concept to tender stage in 2D AutoCAD.

• Perform duties using the latest AutoCAD software as per company standards.

• Work additional hours or off-days as per company/project requirements.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation in accordance with client requirements.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.

• Perform duties as a Mechanical Designer and participate in on-site supervision as required.

• Interface professionally with clients to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications \& Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

• Minimum 8-12\+ years of relevant experience in building services design.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and mechanical systems.

• Familiarity with international design standards and codes.
