Your opportunity

As a Software Engineer, you will join our Engineering team to build and scale the Afrisource platform. We are looking for an engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset who is eager to take ownership of technical challenges. You will focus on developing high-quality software that facilitates mentorship at scale, requiring a balance of technical precision and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

You will own the full development lifecycle from system design and implementation to deployment and maintenance. Your objective is to ensure our platform remains robust, fast, and accessible to the thousands of professionals we serve.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

Develop scalable systems: Architect and maintain reliable web applications that support our growing ecosystem.
Execute full-cycle engineering: Take responsibility for features from initial concept through to live production.
Optimize performance: Continuously improve platform speed and responsiveness to ensure a seamless user experience across diverse regions.
Collaborate on strategy: Work with product and design teams to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
Maintain technical excellence: Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to our internal documentation and best practices.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

Technical expertise: Proficiency in modern full-stack frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Python.
Experience: 3\+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally within SaaS or high-growth tech environments.
Analytical thinking: A structured and organized approach to code quality, testing, and debugging.
Communication: Clear and direct communication skills in English.
