Full Time

The

Electrical Engineer

will provide technical and engineering support to maintenance, operations, safety, and quality teams within the Finishing Department. This role focuses on troubleshooting, improving equipment reliability, optimizing processes, and implementing system improvements to enhance production efficiency.

The position requires hands-on experience with electrical systems, automation, and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering \& Technical Support

  • Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations teams
  • Restore production flow during equipment breakdowns
  • Develop and improve preventive maintenance systems

Troubleshooting \& Problem Solving

  • Diagnose equipment and process issues to root cause
  • Implement effective engineering solutions
  • Improve reliability and reduce recurring failures

Projects \& Equipment Management

  • Manage equipment rebuilds and capital projects
  • Support project justification, planning, and execution
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of systems

Automation \& Controls

  • Work with PLCs and automation systems
  • Support electrical controls, drives, and communication systems
  • Develop technical expertise in plant equipment

Continuous Improvement \& Compliance

  • Analyze equipment and process data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support safety, quality, and environmental initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 1\+ year of electrical engineering experience
  • Minimum 1\+ year of manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell / Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Experience with AC/DC motor drives and power distribution systems
  • Experience with automation networking and communication systems
  • Experience in metals, aluminum, or heavy manufacturing industries
  • Experience with rolling mills, furnaces, or casting equipment
  • Experience with data acquisition and analytics
  • Capital project management experience
