The search division recruits highly skilled professionals for Contract and Permanent positions. We service our clients primarily in the NYC Metro area as well nationally through our AAFA and NPA networks.
Our client, a global engineering company, is looking to add a Senior FP\&A Analyst to their growing team. This person will help drive company-wide financial insights by preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly reports, building robust financial models to guide profit planning, supporting external audits, and delivering ad-hoc analyses and strategic studies to inform key business decisions.
- Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports, forecasts, and analyses, including metrics such as backlog, revenue, profitability, cash flow, write-downs, claims, risk exposure, reserves, and provisions, while continuously refining reporting to align with changing business needs.
- Conduct complex financial modeling, special projects, and ad hoc analyses utilizing enterprise financial systems and data tools.
- Assist in the annual profit planning cycle, including timeline development, evaluation of construction market trends and economic indicators, consolidation and analysis of business unit data, financial modeling to assess risks and opportunities, preparation of presentation materials, and participation in review sessions; recommend process enhancements where appropriate.
- Partner with external auditors during the annual audit process by coordinating communications, providing required documentation and insights, and supporting the analysis of risk-related provisions.
- Prepare and deliver risk management reporting to the parent organization, including Risk Memorandums and Claims Reports.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and the parent company’s controllership team.
- Develop executive-level presentations for the CEO and CFO.
- Carry out additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- MBA and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of accounting standards, including GAAP, IAS, FARS, ERISA, and IRS regulations.
- Prior experience as a Senior Cost Analyst is highly desirable.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
- Skilled at monitoring performance, recognizing development opportunities, and delivering constructive feedback.
- Exceptional analytical skills to review, evaluate, and interpret large and complex sets of financial data.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, requests, and tight deadlines simultaneously.
- Capable of delegating tasks effectively, overseeing team output, and providing training and guidance as needed.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with financial systems, including SAP, as well as other MS Office applications.
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
