Software Engineer \| C\+\+ / Qt / Linux \| Robotics \& Computer Vision
Brisbane (Hybrid, 2 days a week in office)
Fixed Term 6 months contract
This is an exciting opportunity to work on an innovative UAS product for a manufacturing company in Brisbane. They are looking for a C\+\+ Software Engineer to support the build of an application interfacing with robotics and computer vision systems.
This is a hands-on role working at the intersection of software, robotics, and perception, where your work will directly integrate with real hardware.
The Role
You will be responsible for building applications that interface with robotics and perception pipelines, including:
- Developing C\+\+ / Qt-based applications for control, monitoring, and visualisation
- Integrating with ROS2-based systems
- Working closely with computer vision pipelines (OpenCV / perception systems)
- Interfacing with sensors, telemetry, and real-world hardware
- Supporting deployment within Linux-based environments
- Collaborating with robotics and engineering teams to deliver production-ready systems
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience in C\+\+ development
- Experience with Linux
Desirable experience:
- Experience building Qt / OpenGL, QML for UI is beneficial, not essential.
- Comfortable working within Linux environments
- Exposure to ROS / ROS2 and robotics systems
- Experience integrating or working alongside computer vision pipelines (OpenCV / perception
)
