Akkodis is seeking a

QA Automation Engineer

for a

Contract

with a client in

Plano, TX (Remote).

The ideal candidate is responsible for ensuring end‑to‑end quality across mobile and backend systems through robust automated testing.

Rate Range:

$50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

QA Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, regression, and end‑to‑end test scripts using Java‑based automation frameworks.
• Build, enhance, and maintain mobile automation frameworks for Android and iOS using tools such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback.
• Perform API and backend testing using REST/SOAP, Postman, and automation frameworks like Rest Assured.
• Identify, log, track, and validate defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and quality verification.
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on mobile and backend testing.
• Hands‑on expertise in test automation using Java/Kotlin/Python and mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, UiAutomator, or XCUITest.
• Proven experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and performing API/backend testing using REST/SOAP tools in agile environments.

Pay Details:

$50\.00 to $53\.00 per hour
