SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)

📍

Tagus Park

Work Model:

Hybrid (with On-Call Support)

🚀 Key Responsibilities:

  • Full administration of

SQL Server

environments, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization;

  • Planning and execution of database migrations;
  • Management of incidents, problems, and service requests;
  • Continuous database monitoring and performance management;
  • Implementation and support of

HADR (AlwaysOn)

solutions;

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of: SQL Replication; SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS); SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS);
  • Performance tuning (queries, indexes, execution plans, I/O, CPU, and memory);
  • Management of clustered and standalone environments, both On-Premises and Cloud;
  • Support development teams and contribute to technical requirements analysis.

🛠️ Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in

Microsoft SQL Server (2000–2025)

.

  • Hands-on experience with

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS);

  • Knowledge of

PowerShell

scripting and automation;

  • Solid understanding of: SQL Server Architecture; Indexing and Query Optimization; Advanced Backup \& Restore Strategies; Security and Permissions Management; Data Modelin (preferred);
  • Experience with: Azure SQL Managed Instance; Azure SQL Database.

🤝 Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Organized and detail-oriented, particularly in change management processes;
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in critical environments;
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.

🎓 Qualifications \& Experience:

  • Minimum of

5 years of experience

as a

SQL Server DBA;

  • Microsoft certifications are considered a plus, but are not mandatory.

⭐ Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of

CI/CD tools and practices

for database environments;

  • Experience with

Power BI

(Reporting);

  • Exposure to other database management systems, such as: PostgreSQL; MariaDB; MySQL; MongoDB; Other relational or non-relational databases.
