The Opportunity:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) for Puig US will be responsible for driving growth and managing the strategic relationship with Macy’s \& Dillard’s within the department store channel, with a primary focus on the Niche brand cluster. This individual will play a critical role in developing and executing account strategies to maximize brand visibility, sales, and profitability, while ensuring strong alignment with retailer priorities. Reporting directly to the VP Wholesale, Department Store Channel, this person will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of Niche brand initiatives and support broader department store strategies. This role will primarily drive Niche brands including BYREDO, Penhaligon’s, while providing ad hoc support across Prestige brands as business needs arise.
What you’ll get to do:
- Serve as the primary contact for Macy’s \& Dillard's, building and maintaining strong relationships to drive brand performance
- Develop and execute tailored business strategies to achieve sales and brand goals, including joint business planning
- Maintain a deep understanding of Macy’s \& Dillard's dynamics, competitive landscape, and consumer trends to optimize performance
- Drive top-line sales growth and profitability by aligning Puig’s Niche brand objectives with Macy’s strategies
- Support Prestige brand initiatives at Macy’s \& Dillard's as needed, ensuring consistency with overall channel strategy
- Analyze and interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify opportunities for growth within the account
- Collaborate with VP Wholesale to develop annual sales forecasts, setting clear objectives and KPIs
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, demand planning, visual merchandising, and finance to ensure effective execution of promotions and launches
- Communicate retailer needs and feedback to internal teams to ensure alignment with broader commercial strategy
- Ensure optimal in-store presence and brand presentation through strong partnership with merchandising teams
- Support negotiations with buyers on pricing, promotions, and product placements to maintain premium brand positioning
- Monitor and report on sales performance, key metrics, and key initiatives
We’d love to meet you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- 5\+ years of experience in Sales, Planning, or Key Account Management within beauty, luxury, or consumer retail
- Experience working within department store channels (Macy’s experience strongly preferred)
- Exposure to Niche and/or Prestige beauty brands is a plus
- Strong understanding of retail dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting sales data and performance metrics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Compensation:
As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000\.00 - $115,000\.00\. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
