Job Description

Data Engineer

Provo, UT

Shape the Future of Data at a Rapidly Growing Organization

We're partnering with a high-growth organization that's investing heavily in its data platform and analytics capabilities. They're looking for a Data Engineer who enjoys building scalable data solutions that directly influence business strategy and executive decision-making.

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain existing pipelines—you'll have the opportunity to modernize data architecture, improve reporting capabilities, and build the foundation that powers critical business insights across a multi-brand enterprise.

Working directly with the CTO and executive leadership, you'll design and optimize data pipelines, enhance the organization's cloud data warehouse, and develop scalable solutions using modern data engineering tools.

If you enjoy solving complex data challenges, collaborating across the business, and seeing the impact of your work, this is an opportunity to make a significant difference while helping shape the future direction of the company's data platform.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines that collect and integrate data from a wide variety of business systems and third-party platforms.
  • Develop and maintain the organization's cloud-based data warehouse, ensuring reliable, high-quality data is available for reporting and analytics.
  • Write efficient, maintainable Python and SQL code to automate data ingestion, transformation, validation, and processing.
  • Build and enhance data integrations using APIs and modern ELT technologies.
  • Transform raw operational data into trusted datasets that support executive reporting and business intelligence.
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Improve data quality, governance, monitoring, and overall platform reliability.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and continuously optimize pipeline performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the organization's modern data architecture.

You'll have the opportunity to work with technologies including:

  • Python
  • SQL
  • Snowflake
  • Airbyte
  • Looker
  • REST APIs
  • Modern cloud data platforms

What We're Looking For

  • 5\+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related data-focused role.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Advanced SQL skills and professional experience developing with Python.
  • Experience building data pipelines and integrating multiple data sources.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Airbyte (or similar ELT tools), and modern reporting platforms.
  • Experience working with APIs and data integration technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for improving data quality and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Highly visible role working directly with executive leadership and the CTO.
  • Opportunity to influence the direction of a growing enterprise data platform.
  • Modern cloud data stack with the freedom to improve processes and architecture.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of data sources and business challenges.
  • Collaborative, fast-moving environment where your work has immediate impact.
  • Strong opportunity for long-term growth as the company's data and analytics capabilities continue to expand.
