Role Description

The Biologist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Orangevale, CA. The Biologist will conduct field surveys for wildlife and habitat, support ecological assessments, and participate in environmental monitoring and mitigation projects. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and analyzing biological data, preparing technical reports, and contributing to permitting and regulatory compliance documentation. The Biologist will collaborate with project managers and other team members to design and implement restoration and conservation strategies. The role also involves coordinating with clients, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety and quality standards in both field and laboratory settings.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills and Microbiology experience relevant to environmental and biological analyses.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Wildlife biology and Ecology to support field surveys and habitat assessments.
• Candidates should possess solid Research skills, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience with fieldwork, including biological surveys, sampling techniques, and use of field equipment.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting processes, and mitigation planning is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present scientific findings clearly to varied audiences.
• Ability to work safely in outdoor environments, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
