About the Role:

Hytech Group is building its Taipei team to become a core global hub for payment technology development, focused on solving highly complex technical challenges for clients worldwide. In this role, you will work on high-throughput, high-performance systems and contribute to the design and development of mission-critical payment services, ensuring stability, accuracy, and seamless integration with external platforms. Operating in a fast-paced, precision-driven industry, your decisions and execution will directly impact product performance and the transaction experience for customers around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-traffic and highly available Java backend services, ensuring system performance, stability, scalability, and maintainability to support key business functions.
• Design system architecture and evaluate technical solutions against business requirements, making appropriate technical decisions to build scalable, reliable backend systems.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, stability, and maintainability, including high-concurrency processing, SQL performance, JVM memory, caching, and other key components of backend systems.
• Design and implement backend services and core components using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, MyBatis/JPA/Hibernate, MySQL, Redis, and Kafka or other Message Queue technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions to improve system reliability and prevent recurring issues.
• Conduct code reviews and establish development standards, ensuring code quality, consistency, and adherence to technical standards across the team.
• Collaborate with PM, QA, DevOps, frontend, and other cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution, technical alignment, and timely delivery.
• Mentor and support Junior/Mid-Level Engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to team capability development and engineering practices.
• Support team technical planning, task allocation, and project execution, helping the team prioritize work and achieve project objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices, identifying opportunities to improve development efficiency, system quality, and team collaboration.

What We’re Looking For:

• 6\+ years of Java backend development experience; at least 1 year of technical management or Team Lead experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience in Java 17; experience with Java 21 is a plus.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services for high-traffic and highly available systems.
• Strong understanding of database and caching technologies, with hands-on experience in MySQL, MyBatis or JPA/Hibernate, Redis, and SQL performance tuning.
• Solid experience in distributed and high-concurrency system design, including Microservice architecture, Transaction management, Cache design, Thread, Concurrency, and lock mechanisms.
• Experience with Kafka or other Message Queue technologies, with an understanding of their application in scalable backend systems.
• Experience in JVM memory tuning, system performance optimization, monitoring, and log analysis, with the ability to independently identify and resolve technical issues.
• Strong technical ownership and problem-solving ability, with the ability to independently analyze Production Issues, identify root causes, and propose appropriate improvement solutions.
• Strong code quality and technical governance awareness, with hands-on experience in Code Review, Coding Standards, and technical quality control.
• Strong technical leadership and people development capabilities, with experience mentoring engineers, allocating work, managing project progress, and driving team delivery.

• Experience in payment system development.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Redis Cluster or Kafka Cluster.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Experience with system monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
• Experience in system refactoring or large-scale projects.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience applying AI in software development or workflows.
