Key Account Manager (Industrial)

Overview
The Key Account Manager (Commercial \& Industrial) will drive growth across North America by developing new business and managing strategic relationships with industrial end-users and OEMs. This role blends proactive hunting with strong account management and requires a high sense of urgency, technical curiosity, and commercial acumen.
Responsibilities
New Business Development \& Account Management
- Prospect and develop new business across target industrial accounts, building a strong and sustainable pipeline
- Manage high-value and strategic accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and long-term satisfaction
- Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from operational contacts to executive leadership
Strategic Planning \& Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with customer initiatives and company objectives
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services within existing accounts
- Establish partnerships and strategic alliances to increase market presence and account penetration
Customer Engagement \& Problem Solving
- Represent the full product and solution portfolio to commercial and industrial customers
- Identify application opportunities and position solutions effectively
- Resolve customer issues quickly to protect and strengthen relationships
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal stakeholders including product specialists, business unit leaders, and operations teams
- Provide customer and market feedback to support product development and business strategy
Sales Performance \& Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM data including pipeline, account activity, and forecasting
- Track KPIs such as customer visits, calls, emails, and opportunity progression
- Identify risks and growth opportunities within accounts and take corrective action where needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within industrial or technical environments
- Proven ability to penetrate and grow accounts from entry-level contacts to executive stakeholders
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and communicate complex equipment or solutions
- Experience with electrical testing equipment or power industry applications is an asset
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Excel, and standard business tools
