This position is available in any Huntington Corporate office location.
Summary:
Develops and maintains profitable business banking relationships in PFG within lending limits (larger loans go through commercial lending) including loan renewals. Responsibilities include identifying needs, developing fundamental loan recommendations (including cross-sales), negotiating loan terms, approving/coordinating approval of loans, portfolio risk monitoring, and researching basic business issues. Administers PFG loan portfolio which includes following up on financial statements, exceptions, past due loans, changes in borrower's financial condition, and loan reporting. Administers portfolio in compliance with Credit Policy including timely recognition for watch list, non-accrual, and charge-offs. Works closely with PFG Relationship Managers and other team members to satisfy customer's consumer and commercial loan needs including active participation in all sales of PFG loan products. Works with loans of moderate complexity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of commercial customers, analyzing financial statements and client performance.
- Mentor and coach analysts, associates, and teammates.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with various departments.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the assigned portfolio and provide informed decision-making support.
- Value collateral, generate commitment letters, and assist in credit policy interpretation.
- Perform final risk rating analysis and document credit decisions, conditions, and modifications.
- Collaborate with the Credit Analyst for portfolio reviews and prepare credit packages for annual reviews, loan amendments, or modifications.
- Evaluate applicant’s credit needs and financial strength, performing pro forma modeling and interpreting external risk factors.
- Resolve issues, review and negotiate loan documentation, and support underwriting efforts.
- Conduct portfolio reviews with senior management and assist in resolving out-of-balance and default situations.
- Participate in joint calls with relationship managers and attend meetings.
- Analyze and provide guidance on investment and project decisions.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
