As P2 Science continues to expand its impact on the Beauty and Personal Care market, we are seeking an experienced
Key Account Manager
to support our aggressive growth plans and evolution as a solution provider. We are looking for a new team member that has Experience selling specialty ingredients to formulation chemists or R\&D teams.
Key Account Manager - Beauty and Personal Care
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for implementing and executing P2’s sales strategy. The primary focus is on building and guiding relationships with key customers to facilitate growth. The KAM will provide strategic direction and market feedback to help P2 grow and profit.
This position is home-office based, with travel up to 50%, including some international travel. The customer base is primarily in the northeastern United States.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, comfortable working autonomously, and understands how to develop relationships inside complex matrixed organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Develop, manage, and execute business growth plans to achieve the annual strategic goals and meet/exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Build relationships with existing key accounts, create sales forecasts, and
- manage deliverables.
- Map and prospect new accounts and develop prioritized business growth plans.
- Monitor business KPIs and sales activity. Identify gaps and tactics to drive growth.
- Work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations to meet customer needs and guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Align with Supply Chain to manage production timelines and provide sales forecast updates.
- Co-Develop go-to-market strategies, including competitive intelligence/landscape feedback.
- Contribute to strategic portfolio development to enhance overall product offering.
Qualifications \& Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience selling specialty ingredients to formulation chemists or R\&D teams
- At least 3\+ years of related chemicals business sales experience.
- Advanced knowledge of the Beauty and Personal Care industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Curious to ask questions and continue growing.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent customer management skills and a passion for customer satisfaction.
- Able to handle multiple priorities while meeting objectives.
- Team player who builds strong, effective partnerships both internally and externally.
- Experience with CRM tools and ability to operate fluidly within a Microsoft 365 environment.
- A proven track record of sales growth.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience developing relationships and navigating inside large multinational organizations.
- Understanding basic regulatory requirements of the Beauty and Personal Care industry.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Advanced knowledge/demonstration of effective pipeline management.
- A passion for green chemistry and sustainability.
