Role Description
This is a full-time Junior Account Manager role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site and work-from-home days. The Junior Account Manager will support senior team members in managing a portfolio of hospitality clients, assisting with day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, and client communication. Daily responsibilities include gathering and organizing financial data, preparing routine reports and summaries, and helping to analyze performance metrics for client venues. The role involves coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of bookkeeping, projections, and analytical insights, as well as responding to client queries in a professional and service-oriented manner. The Junior Account Manager will also help maintain accurate records, contribute to process improvements, and support ad hoc projects as client needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and Excel skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and produce clear reports.
- Customer-focused communication skills, including professional written and verbal communication and the ability to build positive client relationships.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail, task prioritization, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with accounting or financial software and general digital tools; willingness to learn new systems quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Interest in or exposure to the hospitality sector (restaurants, bars, hotels) is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, collaborating both in person and remotely with colleagues and clients.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving mindset, and readiness to grow within an account management or financial advisory career path.
