A well-established global institutional asset manager is seeking an experienced investment professional to join its investment team in Hong Kong. The firm manages multi-billion-dollar assets globally and serves institutional investors through a broad range of investment solutions across public and private markets.

Job Description

This role will be a key member of the Global Multi-Asset Investment Team, responsible for conducting fundamental research, generating investment ideas, and supporting portfolio managers in portfolio construction and investment decision-making. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with a broad investment perspective and a passion for equity investing.

Candidates with expertise in the Technology, Semiconductor, or broader Cyclical sectors will be highly regarded. The role offers significant exposure to global equity markets and multi-asset portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental equity research covering Technology, Semiconductors, and/or Cyclical sectors across Asia and global markets.
• Generate differentiated, high-conviction investment ideas through company analysis, industry research, management engagement, and valuation assessment.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, valuation frameworks, and investment recommendations.
• Support portfolio managers in portfolio construction, portfolio monitoring, market analysis, and risk assessment.
• Prepare investment committee materials and research reports to support investment decisions.
• Monitor and communicate key market developments, earnings results, and company-specific events.
• Perform ad hoc investment-related projects as required by the investment team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Investment Analyst - Global Technology should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 7-12 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment management, investment analysis, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong knowledge of the Technology and/or Semiconductor sectors is preferred.
• Experience from asset management, hedge funds, sell-side research, investment banking, advisory, or accounting/audit backgrounds will be considered.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and international environment.
