We are seeking a seasoned Data Migration Engineer to lead the modernization of our data analytics stack, transitioning legacy data sources and visualization platforms to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The core focus is migrating data warehouses to BigQuery and transitioning reporting from Tableau to Looker/Looker Studio.

Key Responsibilities

Migration Execution:

Lead end-to-end migration of Tableau dashboards and data sources to BigQuery/Looker, ensuring data integrity. GCP Development: Design, build, and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Dataflow, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and BigQuery.

BI Modernization:

Map legacy Tableau calculations and LOD expressions to LookML models, explores, and dashboards. Data Transformation: Utilize SQL and data modeling tools to rebuild data architectures for cloud scalability. Validation: Perform rigorous validation to ensure accuracy, performance, and security of migrated data and reports.

Required Skills

GCP Tech Stack:

Strong experience with Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.BI Migration:

Proven expertise in migrating dashboards from Tableau (or other BI tools) to Looker.Looker/LookML:

Expert-level SQL skills for analyzing complex data and translating legacy SQL to BigQuery SQL.Data Modeling: Experience with dimensional modeling and performance optimization..

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $180000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $220000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
