A strong client of LHH is seeking a strategic, technology‑forward Controller (CPA required) to oversee its accounting function. This individual will modernize financial operations, drive system improvements, strengthen controls, and work closely with executive leadership to support the organization's long‑term growth.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Leadership
- Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close across multiple entities.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and compliant consolidated financial statements.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and international compliance frameworks.
Strategic Financial Management
- Provide executive leadership with financial insights, KPI reporting, and proactive recommendations.
- Lead annual budgeting, long‑range planning, and ongoing forecasting.
- Strengthen the financial infrastructure to support scalability.
Technology \& Process Transformation
- Lead modernization of accounting systems, automation initiatives, and digital workflows.
- Support ERP implementations, enhancements, and system integrations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline complex, multi-entity accounting processes.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee general ledger management, treasury support, reconciliations, and policy documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and international regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and manage third‑party audit relationships.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, FP\&A, Legal, HR, and Technology teams to ensure accurate financial integration across the business.
- Support strategic projects, product launches, and new business initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a high-performing accounting team; promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strengthen skill development, accountability, and alignment within the finance function.
Qualifications
Required
- Active CPA certification (required — non‑negotiable).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 8–12\+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a multi‑entity environment with foundational public accounting experience.
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP; familiarity with international accounting standards preferred.
- Proven experience implementing or modernizing financial systems (ERP, automation, BI tools).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Financial services, fintech, asset management, insurance, or other regulated‑industry background.
Preferred
- Experience with enterprise‑class systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience supporting operations or cross‑border consolidations.
- Track record of leading strategic finance initiatives and process transformation.
